These are some kind of groundcover plant that’s related to nettles.  These one’s don’t sting, though.  They were given to us last year by a woman who had too many of them growing in her garden, and that was when we were just starting our own garden at this house, so we were happy to have whatever free plants we could find, not to mention buying several.

That same cycle is still going on this spring, but now we have some established plants to enjoy, like this one, while we clear space for new ones and wait for seeds to sprout.

I love the frosty look of these leaves.
